Maithri Aquatech won ‘Gold’ in the 'Best Startup' category of the prestigious Telangana State Industry Awards 2021. The awards were presented by Shri KT Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister of Industry & Commerce, IT, E&C and Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Government of Telangana. Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT), Telangana government was also present at the Event.
ETRise is a Times Internet product and an initiative of The Economic Times. They have recently hosted Top MSMEs Ranking awards and have announced winners in four different categories on 28th December 2021. Maithri Aquatech was ranked as one of the top 10 companies in the "Top Innovative MSMEs" category. The 10 companies under this category were the top innovators in India.

Projects and Activities
Maithri Aquatech signed a USD 200 million deal with UK-based multi-national company, Contec Global, in February 2021, for facilitating the sale of MEGHDOOT across Africa and the Middle East. The partnership will bring together valuable skills in sustainable water solution development, deployment and social impact strategy to help various countries take a positive step towards Water and Food security, through innovative Air-to-Water solutions
Maithri Aquatech set up the ‘World’s First Mobile Water from Air Kiosk and Water Knowledge Centre’ in the smart city of Visakhapatnam in March 2021. This initiative is supported by GVMC (Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation) and project SEWAH (Sustainable Enterprises for Water and Health) - an alliance between USAID and SWN (Safe Water Network). The kiosk will provide clean, mineral-enriched potable water harvested from the air by making use of MEGHDOOT as a source to generate water with no dependency on scarce groundwater or surface water resources. In addition to supplying clean water, the kiosk will also function as a Water Knowledge Resource Centre (WRKC) by creating awareness and imparting necessary information on the benefits of good water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices to members of the local underserved communities as well as nearby schools
Project to sustainably provide access to clean drinking water to employees of one of the world’s largest IT companies’ Hyderabad campus, in line with their commitment of becoming water positive by 2030
For the first time in the world, a packaged water bottling plant will utilize air to meet its water requirements. The plant has been helped set up by Maithri Aquatech for USATA Enterprises Pvt Ltd on a turnkey basis. Both the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) have approved the plant and the water, again a first in India. Another first in the world is how the bottling plant is meeting its cooling requirements. As a side product of the water generation process, Maithri Aquatech’s MEGHDOOT also generates cool air, which will provide central cooling to the Water Testing Lab and the Bottling area, bringing down and maintaining the temperature between 15 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Rotary Club Whitefield Central Chapter and Maithri Aquatech’s strategic partner ATFSC (Applying Technology For Social Change) Foundation installed a MEGHDOOT Water from Air system at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium (JNP) in Bengaluru.
Maithri Aquatech’s strategic partner The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) installed MEGHDOOT in the Prime Minister's constituency in Varanasi, to provide clean, drinking water to the general public and visitors. USAID Mission Director to India, Ms. Veena Reddy along with the US Consul General, Joel Reifman visited Maithri Aquatech’s Mobile Water from Air Kiosk in Vizag, installed as part of their SEWAH initiative in alliance with the Safe Water Network (SWN).
As a part of Nissan India’s CSR effort Maithri Aquatech has worked with them and the Sevalaya foundation to install a MEGHDOOT Water from Air Kiosk at the Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Chennai. The Kiosk will cater to the drinking water needs of the visitors of the zoo. Maithri Aquatech installed MEGHDOOT on ONGC’s Oil Rig. Freshwater for the small crew onboard usually arrives from the shore via ship, but gets cut off during periods of harsh weather. Now the crew enjoys freshwater on demand, on the rig, without any external reliance
Maithri Aquatech, in collaboration with Strides Foundation, the CSR wing of Strides Pharma Science, has set up a MEGHDOOT Water from Air Kiosk in Lingapura Village, Anekul Taluk, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The kiosk provides clean, drinking water access to over 700 residents, at a cost of Rs. 5 for 20 litres, by utilising an automated coin-based water dispensing system
Maithri Aquatech, with the support of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), has supplied over 15 machines to a school, a college and to government offices in Uttarakhand as part of THDC India Limited’s CSR efforts
With the support of Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, Maithri Aquatech has provided water solutions to two schools located in remote and hilly areas of Uttarakhand at elevations of 1646 m to 1869 m from sea level, where there are no roads or water connectivity

Maithri Aquatech, along with its strategic partner CONTEC Global through their brand "Beyond Water”, participated in the most important water-related event in the Arab region - The 5th Annual Arab Water Forum in Dubai on 21-23 September 2021. It was organised by UAE's Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure, with the theme being "Arab Water Security for Peace and Sustainable Development”. Maithri Aquatech MD and Founder, Mr. M Ramkrishna and CEO Mr. Naveen Mathur, along with Mr. Lee Brett, Chief Business Officer, CONTEC Global were invited to showcase their Atmospheric Water Generator solution and discuss how it can help build Water Security in the MENA region.
The G-STIC (Global Sustainable Technological and Innovation Community) Conference is jointly hosted by VITO (the prime research and technology organization on cleantech and sustainable development in Belgium) and 7 other not-for-profit independent technology research institutes with the aim of accelerating wide-scale deployment of market-ready integrated technological solutions that can have an impact on the achievement of the SDGs. As part of the G-STIC held at the World Expo in Dubai, TERI had organized a deep dive session on water, focusing on technological and policy interventions for nature-based solutions. Maithri Aquatech’s CEO, Mr. Naveen Mathur spoke as a panelist in this session, on the subject Harmonizing nature-based solutions for water security. The panel included eminent speakers like Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Jal Shakti and Ms. D Thara, Joint Secretary, Ministry of House and Urban Affairs.

Maithri Aquatech was invited by the Smart City Mission to exhibit their solution during the Smart City Smart Urbanization (SCSU 2022) conference held in Smart City Surat as part of their Innovation Pavilion. The conference was organized by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) as a platform for companies to showcase their innovative solutions suitable for Smart Cities. Maithri Aquatech had supplied drinking water for the entire event, generating over 3200 litres of freshwater from air and saving over 6400 litres of groundwater during the event alone
