HOW DOES MEGHDOOT AWG WORK?
The atmosphere holds a lot of moisture which is free for the taking. MEGHDOOT AWG uses refrigeration techniques to condense this humidity from air. Air is sucked into the system through an electro static filter. Cooled coils located in the path of air provide a temperature differential between the air and the coil surface resulting in condensation. Water is then passed through various filters to remove solids and to remove any odour & to eliminate any bacterial content. Pure drinking cold water is then supplied through the dispenser tap.
IS THE WATER PRODUCED FROM MEGHDOOT REALLY PURE AND SAFE?
MEGHDOOT produces water to international standard, which is 100% Microbe free. Our filtration process removes all external particles and dissolved organic pollutants, There by making our water completely pure, fully potable and of International standards. It not only maintains the water-soluble minerals which are essential for our body but also uses specially designed cartridges, which enhance the quality of water with essential minerals. In select models the water is further remineralized with our proprietary mineral salt mixture.
IS TAKING WATER FROM THE ATMOSPHERE HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT?
Not at all! AWG extracts water from air. Water that evaporates from ocean is 850 billion litres in a Single day which is nearly equivalent to 60 days of mankind requirement of water. In Short, moisture from atmosphere is an everlasting source of water. By extracting this water, we not only get pure drinking water but also save our ground water.
IS THERE ENOUGH WATER IN THE AIR TO PRODUCE WATER EVERY DAY?
There are 3.1 quadrillion gallons of water in the atmosphere at any given time.
CAN I REALLY GET PURE DRINKING WATER FROM AIR THAT MAY HAVE SO MANY IMPURITIES IN IT?
Absolutely! MEGHDOOT only condenses the water vapour and generates the purest form of water. The machine has an air filter of 10 microns to remove and suspended particles in the air. The water generated is further passed through a Sediment filter that removes any water soluble substances that might be present in the water, while the Activated Carbon filters eliminate any funny smell or taste present in the water and finally the UV kills any bacteria present in the water.
IS IT EXPENSIVE TO PRODUCE WATER WITH AN AWG?
The atmospheric water generator is extremely efficient using minimal amounts of energy to produce water. Only 0.25 units of energy is consumed to produce 1 litre of water of highest quality. On an avg 1 litre of highest quality water would cost less than ₹ 2 /-, which is very economical for the quality of water produced.
DOES MEGHDOOT AWG HAVE SPECIAL POWER REQUIREMENTS?
MEGHDOOT AWG units operates on standard Power or with solar panel solar/wind power or with oil powered generators.
WILL WATER PRODUCED FROM THE AIR IN MY HOME OR OFFICE HAVE A FUNNY TASTE OR SMELL?
Absolutely not. The water generation process involves air being passed through air filters to remove any suspended particles from air andcondensing of water vapour into pure and safe water. Activated carbon present in the machine removes any dust if present.
WHY DO I NEED AWG TO BRING ME WATER ANYWAY? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WATER I GET FROM MY TAP?

WHAT DOES PH MEAN FOR WATER?
The indicator for acidity or alkalinity is known as the pH value. A pH value of 7 means a substance is neutral, water with a pH lower than 7 is considered acidic and with a pH greater than 7 water is considered alkaline. The normal range for pH in surface water systems is 6.5 to 8.5. The range in MEGHDOOT AWG is 7.2 pH
WHAT DOES ALKALINITY MEAN FOR WATER?
Alkalinity refers to the capability of water to neutralize acid, it is a measure of the alkaline materials that are in the water This is really an expression of buffering capacity. A buffer is a solution to which an acid can be added without changing the concentration of available H+ ions (without changing the pH) appreciably.
WHAT TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY DO I NEED, IN ORDER FOR MEGHDOOT AWG TO PRODUCE WATER?
While the rated output of our machines is achieved at temperature of 85°F and relative humidity of 80% RH, the machines perform in the temperature range of 15°C - 45°C and relative humidity levels of 25% and above.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO CHANGE FILTERS, AND IS IT HARD TO DO?
The carbon and sediment filters need to be changed once every 4-6 months. Air filters need to be cleaned by backwashing regularly.
WHAT IS THE COST OF FILTERS ?

WHAT IS THE MACHINE’S LIFE SPAN?
If the machine is used as designed and as specified in the owner manual and
proper maintenance procedures are employed, then the unit will operate for a minimum of 15 years.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON THE MACHINES?
Maithri Aquatech products are warranted against all manufacturer defects and
workmanship for One (1) year from date of purchase. Annual Service Contracts are available for ongoing maintenance needs through Maithri Aquatech or its
Authorized Service Providers.
WHEN WILL THE MACHINE START MAKING WATER?
Water will be dispensed within 1 to 2 hours from start-up or less, depending on the humidity & temperature conditions.
HOW WILL IT OPERATE IN AREAS WITH NO HUMIDITY?
Low humidity conditions are a challenge for any system that extracts moisture
from the air. The system will not produce water during the day in deserts or in
very hot climates due to less humidity. However it will still produce water at
night due to the dew point factor. The machine will trip off when the humidity
goes below 25 RH.

MEGHDOOT AWG CAN HAVE HOT WATER FACILITY? IF YES, ARE TWO SEPARATE STORAGE FACILITIES REQUIRED?
We can provide MEGHDOOT with hot water facility if required (subject to the order quantity). The storage facility would be planned according to the machine variant.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE MEGHDOOT AWG RESERVOIR IS FULL? WILL THE MACHINE OVERFLOW?
No, it will not overflow. The machine has a water level sensor, which will cut-off the machine from running when the reservoir/tank is full.
WILL WATER STANDING IN A FULL RESERVOIR GET STAGNANT AND STALE?
The quality of the water remains the same even after 4 months.
DOES A UNIT GENERATE THE RATED OUTPUT?
The quantity of water depends on the relative humidity and temperature of the surroundings. The rated output of our machines is achieved at temperature of 85°F and relative humidity of 80% RH.
WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE WATER GENERATED?
The water generated by the AWG can be stored for as long as 6 months without having to worry about any bacterial growth in it as it is microbe free.
DOES THE WATER HAVE ANY ESSENTIAL MINERALS IN IT?
Special cartridges are provided to provide traces of necessary minerals. For select models Remineralization of water can also be done through our patented technology of automated mineral dosing with proprietary mineral salt.
ARE THERE ANY HARMFUL BI PRODUCTS PRODUCED OR GENERATED?
Absolutely not.
DOES THE MACHINE GENERATE ONLY NORMAL/REGULAR DRINKING WATER?
The machine generates pure and clean water, which is further added with essential minerals. Alkaline water, water for dialysis and distilled water for batteries can be produced by making a few changes in the filtration.
HOW DIFFERENT IS YOUR AWG FROM OTHER AWGS IN THE MARKET?
MEGHDOOT AWGs technology is capable of generating water at relative humidity levels of as low as 25% and the power consumption of MEGHDOOT is lower when compared to other machines in the market.
DOES THE MACHINE MAKE ANY NOISE, DO YOU NEED ANY PROTECTIVE GEAR WHEN OPERATING THE MACHINE?
All MEGHDOOT variants have a noise level of 70 dba or lesser, which is safe on human ears and hence requires no protective gear.
CAN THE WATER THAT IS GENERATED BE TRANSFERRED TO ANY OTHER TANKS?
Yes, the water generated can be transferred and stored in a food-grade external tank.
DOES THE MACHINE NEED TO BE TURNED OFF WHEN THERE IS NO HUMIDITY?
MEGHDOOT is equipped with Humidity Sensor that stops the machine from running when the relative humidity level drops below 25%. The cut-off point can also be adjusted as per the individuals need.
ARE THERE ANY SAFETY FEATURES IN THE MACHINE?
The machine is set to turn off automatically for 10 minutes after every 90 mins of usage, this is to prevent any damage to the machine.
DOES ONE NEED ANY SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE ON HOW TO USE THE MACHINE?
No, the machine can be operated by anyone. One needs to just plug in the machine into the power source and turn it on, the machine will do the rest.
DOES THE MACHINE DISPLAY CURRENT TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY LEVELS?
Yes, the unit has an inbuilt display, which displays the current temperatureand humidity %.
HOW PURE AND SAFE IS THE WATER?
The water generated from air does not come in contact with the ground hence it is pure and better than most of the bottled water available in the market.
